Blog: Good morning & don't forget to set all non-Internet connected clocks ahead today! For me that means 1 in the living room & 3 in the kitchen. Yesterday was a great crafting day, I finished 1 knitted leg warmer & started a pair of wrist warmers. Today I'm going to work on my poncho, I think I'll make it to the halfway mark on it today! I started watching a new show yesterday & managed to watch 1 entire season of Longmire while knitting.

Daily Cleaning of the Day: Laundry day, dust bedroom lampshades, wipe down refrigerator, dust living room mantle, sweep the front porch, clean the car vents, & clean the office door & frame.

Blog: I'm done with DoorDash. I really did like that job, but when the new year started, so did a new promotion that flooded the area with drivers, leaving no work for any of us "Dash Now" people. The great news is now I get to concentrate on crocheting & knitting again & I've expanded myself into making more than mostly afghans with a sweater thrown in here & there. I'm SO happy to be concentrating on crafting again! We had some strong storms blow through early this morning, but now it's bright & sunny & warm. I even have the windows open. YAY! With DoorDash finished, I rewrote my schedule last night & sure enough, I was so excited about the new schedule that I couldn't sleep. I knew that was going to happen. I still got up when I was supposed to, so I'm tired but still really excited ... which is overriding the tired.

Daily Cleaning of the Day: clean your bathroom sink(s), dust your bedroom furniture, kitchen lights, & living room baseboards, sweep your front walkway, dust your car's dashboard, & wipe down your office chairs.

Alexa of the Day: Good morning! The 76th Golden Globe Awards, honoring the best in movies and television, will be presented this evening in Beverly Hills.

Blog: I REALLY miss my old life, but I also REALLY like DoorDash & the extra income it provides. What to do, what to do. Work 3 days a week? Compromise? A day at home Minecrafting & Yarning & a day DoorDashing & making money? Sounds like a solid plan! AND the 2nd schedule rewrite of the day. This one took even longer. I'm really excited though, I get the best of both worlds this way. 1 day on, 1 day off. 1 day making money, 1 day making Minecraft & yarn. LOVE IT! As part of all my excitement, I'll be setting up a brand new 2019 Minecraft server for the public. It should be ready to go & online TONIGHT! The Minecraft server is up & the DynMap is at http://69.25.207.149:56558 ... I also started a 2nd server that I will play alone. It's a modpack that I never heard of but looks really cool. It's called Life in the Village! I started playing the vanilla server tonight & have a little fenced area with 2 chickens. At least I'll have food. There are a lot of animals where I am, I got SUPER lucky with 1 of the 4 seeds I tried & ended up in the center of the plains. SUPER RARE! I just love it! Anyway, there are a lot of animals around me, but I hate killing them off. The world looks so much better WITH them. I'm going to kill the chickens I have, but not before breeding them. I make a chicken, kill a chicken. Still the same number of chickens. I do the same with cows, pigs, etc. Saturday: Today I built a little fish pond & went to the river & caught a fish to put in it. I now have chickens & a fish pond. Tomorrow I do the important build ... crops!

Daily Cleaning of the Day: Laundry day, clean your bedroom doors & door frames, clean / dust your coffee machine, sweep / mop your living room floor, sweep / hose off your driveway, & clean your car's floor mats.

Alexa of the Day: Good morning! And happy National Trivia Day!

Blog: Had a good night. Even watched a movie with Pete which was a nice surprise. OK, had a bit of a burp with the schedule last night. Pete couldn't sleep & I woke up 2 hours after I went to bed & he still wasn't there. I got up, kinda angry that I missed out on 2 hours of Minecraft or TV, stayed up & played Minecraft JUST as he went to bed & am I at work now? Nope. So I lost a day's pay & rewrote my schedule. Yes, my New Year's resolution was to be up at 6 every morning & at work by 9, but that's impossible when you live with another person who is on a completely different sleep schedule. I can't sleep if he's awake. I have never been able to. I fell asleep for 2 hours last night, but it was a very restless sleep & not even worth being in bed. SO ... I've gone through my appointment book from 2018 & wrote down the wake up time for Monday through Saturday during the 1st week of every month last year & came up with an average wake up time of 9:a. That's where I started my schedule instead of 6. That means I lose 3 hours of work per day, but part time is the best I can do. Pete sleeps 5 hours a night on weeknights & makes it all up on the 2 weekend days. He says that's normal & most people do that. I can't. I work on the road & I need to be fully awake & not agitated from lack of sleep. My body is, according to him, NOT normal. Needing 7½ hours sleep every night is unusual, so here I am. Being weird & only working part time because of it. ::: sigh ::: Anyway, starting Monday I'll be starting work at noon instead of 9. Which reminds me, I had better get in there & change my pre-scheduled shifts to reflect that now before I forget!

Green Bay Packers Inspired Knit Afghan

Alexa of the Day: Good morning! Fifteen years ago today, the first of two Mars exploration rovers — Spirit and Opportunity — touched down on the Red Planet. Their names were suggested by then 9 year-old Sofi Collis. She said they were inspired by her dream to someday travel into the sparkly night sky. It's a dream many of us share.

Blog: Got a lot done today after work. Watched the Doctor Who New Year's special a day late, had a great dinner of Dickey's BBQ that I bought on my way home from work with a generous $15 cash tip a lady gave me, & am actually getting to bed on time! Up on time & ready for the day. It's going to be a great day!

Daily Cleaning of the Day: clean / dust your bathroom window sill & ledge, dust your bedroom furniture, clean your refrigerator, clan your living room baseboards, sweep your back porch, & clean your car's instrument panel.
