• Black Friday 2013 •

Good afternoon! Yesterday was a nice Thanksgiving. I cleaned the house, we had a great Thanksgiving dinner, I surfed around Pinterest for a bit, took the dogs out again, checked out the IMDb app & added the movie Turbo to my watch list, then waited for hubby to make all his family & friends Thanksgiving phone calls & played Sims while I waited. The patch that they applied the night before worked. Not a single crash & the game even saves much faster than it used to. WOOHOO! After a long game of Sims with my Simburbia house, we sat down & watched Snow White & the Huntsman. This morning I woke up way too early, took the dogs out, & went to work. When I got
back started a brand new game in Sims w/ the McAllister House from the movie Home Alone (2nd pic). I created a young adult version of Kevin McAllister (he looks pretty accurate). Sim Kevin is brave, eccentric (for his ability to invent all kinds of contraptions), genius, handy, & lucky. Sound about right? I thought so. His lifetime wish as it turns out, based on his traits is to be a firefighter. He likes mac & cheese (they have pizza in the game but you can't choose it as a favorite food or I would have), custom music, & the color spiceberry (the closest I could come to his sweater that he's often shown in in movie screenshots). Based on his birthday in the movie, he's a Taurus. Since his lifetime wish is to be a firefighter, his furry companion is a Dalmation named Urban McAllister who is also a genius, noisy, & a hunter. The McAllister home is HUGE! A full basement which is currently empty, 2 full floors above that & a small 3rd floor that contains another bedroom. The 2 car garage also has a living room & kitchen in it. This place can easily house much more than the 8 Sim maximum per lot. I will never be short of space in this house no matter what. Never! Wow.

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. -JFK

• Thanksgiving Day 2013 •

Happy Thanksgiving! Yesterday was another perfect day. I made hubby a scrambled egg for breakfast, cleaned the house, got the mail, updated my Machine Knit page on my personal Website, went through my My Documents backup CD & found a picture of an old afghan I made & added it to Ravelry, took the dogs out, had peanut butter on Ritz for lunch, had a game of Pyramid Solitaire, had a game of Texas Hold'em, updated the apps on my iPad Mini & iPhone 5, then sat down & watched some TV & worked on my Blacklight Beauty crocheted afghan which is 1/3 complete & looks great! This morning I woke up, turned on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade & the local classic rock station KZPS & am waiting
for Alice's Restaurant. The turkey is in the oven, Michael's opens at 4:p, Sears at 8:p, & I'm sure the roads will be insane tonight between travelers, visitors who are lost, & shoppers. Yeah, I think I'm staying home. LOL! All of my Black Friday shopping will be done on Cyber Monday. :) Today's Sims game is a new download by a talented other called Simburbia (2nd pic). For this home I created Kira (1st gen). Kira is hydrophobic, a daredevil, couch potato, socially awkward, & a loser (poor girl). Her lifetime wish is to be a gold digger, because God knows she has no useful traits to make it on her own. Her furry companion is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Misty who is loyal, noisy, & shy. The Sims 3 game did an update patch last night which I'm hoping fixed the crashing problem & so far so good! Misty is going to just hang out, live her life, & hopefully meet that special someone online this week.

Good morning! Another perfect day yesterday with the exception of Sims crashing after only 2 moves. I sent out the grocery list, had an Eggo for breakfast, cleaned the house, got the mail, took the dogs out, & then sat down to enjoy some Prime Time Anytime & work on my ripple afghan kit which is coming along nicely. (2nd pic) :) Yesterday's Sims game was the inventor career, but my Sim was only able to go to bed, then wake up & eat breakfast
before the game crashed on me. 2 moves yesterday & the same today. WAAAH! This morning I took the dogs out & loaded up my most recent build in Sims ... Delmonico. My Sim had dinner & took a shower, but the game crashed during the save so I'm not sure if even that much stuck.

At the family Thanksgiving feast I can see you getting the better part of a wishbone, but from my experience it won't keep the

usual suspect from getting drunk & cussing out the cat.

Perfect Dog:
5-Star Rated app - Perfect Dog Pro
The highest-rated, best-reviewed, most-popular, ad-free dog app in the App Store!
APPLICATION SUMMARY
Perfect Dog Pro - Ultimate Breed Guide To Dogs is unquestionably the most comprehensive reference guide on Dog Breeds available. This app is ad-free and provides over 2,000 exquisite photos and encyclopedic information on over 350 popular and rare dog breeds. With Perfect Dog Pro - Ultimate Breed Guide To Dogs, each dog breed is cataloged alphabetically (or by group) with a thumbnail image and breed name. This app makes scrolling through dog breeds easy and intuitive! Users may also instantly search for a breed by selecting simple yet reliable lifestyle settings (e.g. likes children, minimal shedding) or by indicating desired physical attributes (e.g. floppy ears, small size). The app then provides a list of breeds that matches selected criteria. If you are planning to add a dog to your family, want to find a dog that suits your lifestyle, or simply have seen a dog and wondered what breed it is, Perfect Dog Pro - Ultimate Breed Guide To Dogs is the solution for you.
BREED INFORMATION
With Perfect Dog Pro - Ultimate Breed Guide To Dogs, you can learn detailed information about each breed including size, temperament, how they get along with children, and whether you will be living with dog hair on your furniture (Did you know that many breeds do not shed?) You can read about where the breed originated and why it was originally bred.
HOW TO SEARCH
The MATCH feature gives you the ability to search for the perfect breed based on ten important lifestyle criteria such as a breed’s energy level, disposition, shedding/grooming requirements, protection, and how well the breed interacts with children. Once you make the lifestyle selections that are important to you and your family, MATCH does the rest by instantly ranking every breed that matches your criteria. From there, you can learn all about the breeds that are suitable for you and your family.
The IDENTIFY feature gives you the ability to search for a breed based upon physical attributes. The next time you see a dog and you're not sure what breed it is, the IDENTIFY screen can quickly figure out the answer. By simply selecting some of the dog’s physical characteristics such as “floppy ears” and “pushed in face” you'll find out the mystery breed’s name in no time.

► November 26, 2013 🎸

Good morning! Another perfect day yesterday & lots of company. Not company, but lots of people stopped by. I made biscuits & gravy for breakfast, cleaned the house, the mailman had a package for me that wouldn't fit in the mailbox, then my Avon box got delivered, then the dog catcher came for that stray that was on our back porch for 24 hours,I sent out the grocery list, took the dogs out, tried to have lunch but a company changed the recipe again & didn't state that fact on the label. What I
ended up with was a super hot & spicy version of a canned kid's lunch. WTH?! What's with the spice? It was so bad that I couldn't even eat it. I checked out the Social button on dish & found that it's pretty cool. You connect with your facebook &/or Twitter account & then it pulls up all current comments &/or Tweets on the current channel or show that your watching. SWEET! So if I'm watching a show & pull up Social, I can still watch the show, but I'll also see all comments my friends are making if they're also currently watching that show. I can join in & chat while watching. COOL! I downloaded a 1Note template that's a cute Thanksgiving Day dinner checklist, then our fire chief stopped by for a minute. We now have $100 worth of Omaha Steaks stocked up & ... YUM! I then sat down & worked on my woven cable raglan sweater. It's almost finished now. Less than an inch to go on the bottom ribbing, then I do the ribbing on the neck & sleeves & it's done! It's beautiful (2nd pic). Yesterday's Sims game was 44 Elm Ave. My favorite "real-life" house in Sims. What I mean by that is I have favorite houses in Sims, but they're all mansions or too extravagant for real life. 44 Elm Ave is a house that is real life do-able. Just a normal house ... in the style that I'd love to own & live in. My Sim Ferris is working on random skills to better himself & is going to work. The game crashed halfway through, so I didn't play too much yesterday. This morning I took the dogs out & loaded up my inventor career game. My Sim Lewis Riffin has just graduated high school & has to attend graduation today. Lewis is already a level 8 (of 10) inventor. Only 2 levels to go ... not bad for the 1st day of his young adult life.

• November 25, 2013 •

Good morning! Friday was a perfect day. I cleaned the house, got the mail, went to work, sent out the grocery list for the day, showered, & then knitted a sweater for our Chihuahua who has been a little chilly in this fall weather (2nd pic). Friday's Sims game was Small Steps Daycare & my Sim Vinnie has been working on his skills & going to work. Saturday was a perfect day too ... I took the dogs out, made a bologna sandwich for lunch & a bagel for breakfast (not in that order), sent the grocery list out, got the mail, created a Pandora account & found out that I like Pandora, took the dogs out, then sat down to work on my Star Trek themed braided mile-a-
minute afghan for the evening. Saturday's Sims game was Autumn Road. I created Chris (1st gen) who is lucky, loves the cold, hydrophobic, equestrian, & a loser. His lifetime wish is to be a jockey. He likes shawarma, custom music, & the color red. He's a Sagittarius. He's been working on his riding skill on his Holstein who is fast, piggy, & agile. Perfect days are coming back to back, because Sunday was too. I'm liking this. I'm finally getting everything done & getting crafting time in too. WOOHOO! I took the dogs out, went through the Sunday paper, made french toast for breakfast, cleaned the house, sent the grocery list out, had a game of Gomoku, took the dogs out, made grilled cheese for lunch, & then sat down to play Sims for the evening. I played that until the game burped & got stuck. My child Sim suddenly stopped aging a day before he was supposed to age up into a teen. At that point I gave up & then moved to the living room to work on a new, better fitting cabled canuck hat. This one is going to be great! :) Yesterday's Sims game was the sculptor career.  My Sim Chris has reached level 10 of the sculpting skill & is on his way to level 10 of the sculpting career, though he's not there just yet. Chris's Son Edward has aged up into a child & is working on random skills until he's old enough to work on the sculpting station. Unfortunately, that's where the game got stuck. He was supposed to age up on a Sunday in the game, but when Sunday rolled around, he still had 1 day to go before he aged up into a teen. I checked the game settings & aging is enabled ... which makes sense because he's been aging up until now. Monday morning rolled around & the school bus came & still no birthday. Crap. I'm going to have to force an age-up the next time I play this game. Last night was a rough night to sleep. Lots of people at fault here. 1) US. We couldn't afford to get Joselyn fixed, so she's in heat. 2) OUR OLDER CHILD & HER EX. They brought Joselyn home & promised they'd take care of her. Now they're gone & we're stuck with her. She's a great dog, but we really weren't ready for a huge dog. 3) OUR YOUNGER CHILD. He tore down our fence, meaning that not only can we not keep Joselyn outside longer during the day because now we have to tie her out on a cable, but other dogs can get to her. 4) THE OWNER OF THIS HUGE MALE DOG. There's a huge, beautiful male dog that showed up last night & hasn't left. He's gorgeous! He looks like a very LARGE mix of a Husky & a white German Shepard. Super friendly. Problem ... he wants Joselyn. He has been at the back door since early yesterday evening & hasn't left. He whines at the back door, barks, & howls. We went to bed & suddenly he stood up & started scratching at the screen & back door! We had to move patio furniture to block the back door to keep him from destroying the screen & all glass door! This morning he's still there & I HAD to take the dogs out. The Chihuahuas will NOT go out there with this moose-sized strange dog at the door, so I'm going to be cleaning up Chihuahua crap off the floor later & mopping up little Chihuahua piddles damnit! There was no way I was going to let Joselyn crap in the house though, so out she went. I clipped her onto her cable & before I got back into the house & closed the door (her cable was AT the back door!) the big male dog was rapidly humping her head. He didn't even wait for her to turn around. I walked into the kitchen, got a glass, poured some milk, looked out & they were connected. Puppies. Just what we needed. Hubby, myself, the owner of this male dog, both our kids, & our daughter's ex ... we're all responsible for this. OK ... I'm asking now. Who wants an American Boxer / Husky / Pitbull / White German Shepard - mix puppy? They're going to be huge. Assuming they were successful in conceiving this morning, they're due to be born January 27th & they'll be ready for new homes March 10th. Who wants a St. Patrick's Day puppy? Speaking of adopting a furry companion, we have 2 kittens & a female cat available. Smokey is the female mother cat, the kittens are a long-haired orange kitten & a shorter-haired gray tiger stripe. Thanksgiving cat or kitten anyone? Living in a rural area, we end up with a lot of dumped pets who need homes. Only Xoco, our Chihuahua, & Harley, our gray & white cat ... are chosen by us. All the rest of our pets have been rescued. Our other Chihuahua Browser ... found at the water company in town. Smokey the female cat, found at the same place (gotta stay away from that water company!).

Good morning! A high today only in the 30s. WOOHOO! Today is going to be a long day of going out ... I have to go grocery shopping & also to work. Not sure which I'm doing 1st though. Yesterday was a perfect day. I made breakfast sausage, cleaned the house, drove someone to the college so they could take care of some academic business, stopped for lunch on the way back, took the dogs out, sent out the grocery list, added a movie to the queue from Blockbuster @ Home, played Scrambler, & then sat down to work on my entrelac afghan which is still coming out beautifully! Yesterday's Sims game was the film star career & my Sim Hazel Ashton (2nd gen) just aged up into a child & gained the eccentric trait. She's ½ vampire, so she mastered the painting & writing skills almost instantly. She'll master every skill she tries within a minute of trying it. I guess that kinda guarantees her future, doesn't it? She's going to be a film star like everyone in that family, but anything else she does will be perfect whether it's a best selling book or a brilliant painting. This morning was work, then I took the dogs out & loaded up Small Steps Daycare. My Sim Vinnie just learned the gardening skill as a hobby. His lifetime wish is to be a CEO, so he doesn't need any specific skills for work. I still think that's funny ... CEO is the only career in Sims that doesn't require ANY skills. HAHAHA! I wonder what the EA CEO thinks about that. LOL! I have to work tomorrow & I don't blog on Sunday, so I'll type at you all again on Monday.

Good afternoon! Tuesday was a perfect day! I had an Eggo for breakfast, cleaned the house, sent the grocery list, took the dogs out, had a mozzarella stick for lunch, & then since I couldn't leave the house for the evening, I sat down & worked on my Star Trek themed braided mile-a-minute. Tuesday's Sims game was Modern Bungalow. Yesterday morning I took the dogs out & then my browser crashed. Since my PC was having issues again, I decided to just stay in Sims & spend the day creating a house I called Delmonico (3rd & 4th pics). The 2nd pic is 1 of the 2 cars I put w/ the house. Once I completed building, decorating, &
landscaping, & created Queen (1st gen). Queen is excitable, has no sense of humor, is a savvy sculptor, & is unlucky & inappropriate. Her lifetime wish is to be a descendant of DaVinci which means she has to master the inventing, painting, & sculpting skills, which will take a long time, but is extremely profitable because all 3 produce items she can sell at the consignment shop. She likes lobster
thermidore, custom music, & the color gray. She's a Taurus. Her furry companion is Nikki, an Oriental cat who is neat, playful, & adventurous. Queen has been living her Sim life & working on her skills. She's finally at a point where she can pay the bills for that large house on what she's making. Up until that point, I have to admit that I used the "kaching" cheat to pay the bills until that point. Besides selling her inventions,
paintings, & sculptures, she's also been buying metals & gems at the consignment shop, having them cut & smelted, then reselling them for much more money. This morning I took the dogs out, ran into McKinney w/ hubby to sign paperwork & get a NICE check for some land we just sold, & then came back home & updated my schedule for work. I loaded up my film star game in Sims & my Sim Misty is teaching their daughter Hazel Ashton, a toddler, to talk, walk, etc ... as much as she has time to teach her before she ages up into a child.

Apparently somebody intorduced into the computer system a program that has fouled up computers, military computers, & companies all over the country. Good morning! Another perfect day yesterday! I had a boiled egg for breakfast, cleaned the house, got the mail, sent the grocery list out, played a little Texas Hold'em, took the dogs out, cleaned out my Yahoo e-mail, then checked out Urban Spoon on my iPhone 5 & went out to Square Burger in McKinney for a late lunch. Hubby came home early to surprise me & it figures, I was out. I never go out. LOL! I played 2nd Life for a little bit & then sat down to relax & watch a little TV while working on my Star Trek themed Braided Mile-A-Minute afghan. When hubby was ready, I cooked steaks & then we watched some TV & headed to bed. Yesterday's Sims game was Family Country Home in Monte
Vista & my Sim Natalie is just living her Sim life & going to work. :) This morning I took the dogs out & loaded up a brand new game called Modern Bungalow (2nd pic) which I put in Dragon Valley. I created Ivan (1st gen) who is rebellious, good, ambitious, loves the heat, & hot headed. His lifetime wish is to be a CEO of a Mega-Corporation. He likes Stu Surprise, custom music, & the color Sea Foam. He's a
Leo. His furry companion is Tiberius, a Burmese cat who is quiet, destructive, & clueless. Ivan got a job in the business field & then learned the gardening skill. Our retired Sims enjoyed sitting in the living room reading the paper looking for this weekend's upcoming events & being sat on by Xoco (3rd pic).

November 18, 2013

Good morning! Saturday morning I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast, got the mail, sent the grocery list for Kroger, cleared out my Outlook e-mail, picked someone up from a funeral, took the dogs out, played some BlackJack, turned on some dish Music, looked at some 1Note templates, played 2nd Life, & then started my Cabled Canuck Hat (8th pic) & it's going to be beautiful! It's a very difficult pattern to follow, so no TV while I'm working on this hat. It was a perfect day. After working on the hat for a bit, we went out to Taco Bell
for dinner, watched TV, & then headed off to bed. Saturday's Sims game was Glencove & my Sim Destiny just aged up into a toddler. As usual though, my adult Sims & my toddler Sims are always on opposite schedules, so there will be no teaching how to talk, walk, or potty training. It's kinda hard to do that when the toddler is asleep when the adult is awake & vice versa. It happens more often than not. :( This means
I won't be able to choose a trait for the toddler when they age up into a child & the game mostly punishes you further by giving the child an annoying trait like couch potato, insane, mean spirited, etc. Early Sunday morning the FD got toned out to a med call, I took the dogs out, went through the Sunday paper, made Italian French toast for breakfast, cleaned the house, went grocery shopping at Market Street (my
favorite store other than WalMart & I like WalMart because of the added feature of yarn, clothing, & other stuff available other than foods). I came home & showered, played 2nd life for a little while, took the dogs out, made a ham & cheese sandwich for lunch, tried out Gomoku & got my ass whooped, went on Ravelry & finally organized my projects, then we went to the Italian Villa for dinner & after another
perfect day, we came home & I worked on my Cabled Canuck hat until hubby was ready to watch some TV & then we went to bed. Yesterday's Sims game was my Painter. Queen has been working on her painting skill & making money from her paintings. This morning I took the dogs out & then started up a brand new game in Sims & this one is in my top favorites list! I started out in Monte Vista, my favorite town ... then
placed a house built by a very talented other. The house is called Family Country Home (2nd, 3rd, 6th, & 7th pics). Beautiful, isn't it?! I then created Natalie (5th pic). Natalie is a cat person who's clumsy, over-emotional, a vehicle enthusiast, & a savvy sculptor. Her lifetime wish is to reach level 10 of the science career. She likes hamburgers, custom music, & the color spice brown. She's a Leo. Natalie's furry
companion is Itsy, a Balinese cat who's destructive, clueless, & proud.  Since Natalie is a vehicle enthusiast, she bought a Dodge Viper to get around in (4th pic). Her 1st "to-do" was to get a job, so she went online & got a job at the science facility. Then it was time to learn the gardening skill which is needed for her chosen career. She drove into town to the bookstore & got a book on gardening, read
enough to gain her 1st level in the gardening skill which gifted her with not only the knowledge, but her 1st set of seeds to plant. This beautiful home comes with an area in the back yard to garden (6th pic, center strip behind the house's foundation). She planted her seeds & then headed back into the living room to sit & continue reading her gardening book until it was time to feed the cat & start dinner.

Good morning! What a frustrating evening I had last night. I was down to my last nerve & I swear people were trying to stomp on it. The day started out good ... it was looking like a perfect day. I got a LOT done & after having worked all day, I was SOOO looking forward to finally sitting down & relaxing on the sofa with a fire in the fireplace, the TV, & my knitting. That's were everything went wrong. I lit the fire, turned on the TV, sat down, reached for my knitting, & the phone rang. That was the beginning of the end of my evening. 1st I had to drive someone somewhere, they said they'd be a minute, said they would immediately let me know what was up ... then nothing. No text, no call, no walking back out & informing me of what was going on. I waited, I called, I texted, I called again, & kept waiting, then I got blocked in by some IDIOT in a little car who had 2 car-widths to park in, but instead pulled right up next to my truck, making it damn near impossible to get out due to the size of my truck & the fact that there were cars parked across the thin aisle behind me. After zig-zagging back & forth & back & forth, I finally got out of there & was PISSED! I was left to just sit (how RUDE from someone I was doing a favor for!), then trapped into my parking space by some moron of a fucktard who thought he was being cute. I get back home pull into the driveway, & THEN I get the text "ready when you are". Oh screw you! I'm home now. You should have thought to text me as promised as soon as you went in ... or answered my 2 calls ... or answered my text. I waited. I got trapped. I drove all the way home. A LOT of time had passed & nothing ... until I pull in the driveway. No. I worked all day & I really need to sit & relax. I finished up some stuff on my PC before going back & trying to relax again, but the texts & phone calls didn't stop. Pissed beyond belief, I finally texted back & said I'm on my way, BE READY when I get there! I get in the truck, head back out, get halfway there & get a text; "Got a ride". FUUUUUU .... You asshole! I turned around & headed BACK home ... cursing the whole way back. I get home, sit down, the phone rings. A long, bad argument later, I finally get off the phone, decide that now is a good time to deal with a company who has been NOT doing their job, make that service call ... get off the phone, the phone rings again & I end up back on the phone to continue the argument from before, finally get dinner started, hubby gets home from work, & it's all over. The fire has burned out & I never spend one MINUTE in front of it nor did I even get to SEE it from where I was the whole time, I never got to sit down for more than a minute, never got to watch the TV, & never even got ONE STITCH of knitting done. All that damn work & NO relaxation. NOT cool people. NOT COOL! I'm human. I'm NOT a damn machine. I need to destress at the end of a long workday. Work - sleep - work - sleep - work - sleep ... NOT enough. I'm tired of being everyone's slave. I need some "me time". I'm thinking screw the house today. Nothing will get done except my knitting & what ***I*** want to get done (which is mostly just my knittin). Call it payback for yesterday's slavery. You can't treat people like a full time maid. Even maids are given time at the end of their shift to relax & read a book, watch TV, knit ... whatever. You can't work a human as if their a machine. Oh, and here's another little piece of advice ... if you ask someone for a favor, at least treat them with respect. Don't have them taxi you around for free & then just ditch them there ... sitting & waiting. You'll soon find out that they will no longer do favors for you because you can't show respect, courtesy, or decency in return. Say please, say thank you, do something nice for them in return, & for God's sake don't just ditch them there like they have no life other than to wait for you for an unspecified amount of time!

Converting your microwave oven into a tanning bed turns out to be a bad idea. Get some medicated lotion before someone mistakes you for a leather scarecrow or Larry King.

Thomas Wolfe was wrong. You can go home again - if your home is a treasured relationship & precious companionship. My wife & I feel the key to staying in love is to talk, particularly about feelings. We try to communicate w/ each other several times a day, even when I'm traveling. It's like touching in to home base, which accesses all the happiness, security, & values it represents. -Unknown
