• Thanksgiving Day 2013 •

Happy Thanksgiving! Yesterday was another perfect day. I made hubby a scrambled egg for breakfast, cleaned the house, got the mail, updated my Machine Knit page on my personal Website, went through my My Documents backup CD & found a picture of an old afghan I made & added it to Ravelry, took the dogs out, had peanut butter on Ritz for lunch, had a game of Pyramid Solitaire, had a game of Texas Hold'em, updated the apps on my iPad Mini & iPhone 5, then sat down & watched some TV & worked on my Blacklight Beauty crocheted afghan which is 1/3 complete & looks great! This morning I woke up, turned on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade & the local classic rock station KZPS & am waiting
for Alice's Restaurant. The turkey is in the oven, Michael's opens at 4:p, Sears at 8:p, & I'm sure the roads will be insane tonight between travelers, visitors who are lost, & shoppers. Yeah, I think I'm staying home. LOL! All of my Black Friday shopping will be done on Cyber Monday. :) Today's Sims game is a new download by a talented other called Simburbia (2nd pic). For this home I created Kira (1st gen). Kira is hydrophobic, a daredevil, couch potato, socially awkward, & a loser (poor girl). Her lifetime wish is to be a gold digger, because God knows she has no useful traits to make it on her own. Her furry companion is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Misty who is loyal, noisy, & shy. The Sims 3 game did an update patch last night which I'm hoping fixed the crashing problem & so far so good! Misty is going to just hang out, live her life, & hopefully meet that special someone online this week.

Like this:
Step 2 - Place the roasting pan across two burners over medium heat, Put the onion and celery from inside the roasted turkey, along with the roasted turkey neck, in the pan. Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan with a flat spatula.
And of course there's a shopping list to get you in and out of the store quickly.
Get the bird on the table while keeping the potatoes creamy, the punch strong, and the green beans green. You too can be a Thanksgiving success story!

Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth.

Turkeys aren't the most attractive bird in the world, are they? You know how they make love? They close their eyes & think of a swan.

Very 1st Thanksgiving in America wasn't a solemn, religious occasion. Rather, it was a 3-day harvest festival w/ drinking, athletic games, & even target shooting (a friendly warning to the Indians that the Pilgrims were armed).
